Amenaza de aborto espontáneo; Peligro de aborto espontáneo
Es un estado que sugiere que se podría presentar un aborto espontáneo antes de la semana 20 del embarazo.
Algunas mujeres embarazadas experimentan algún sangrado vaginal, con o sin cólicos abdominales, durante el primer trimestre del embarazo. Cuando los síntomas indican que es posible que se presente un aborto espontáneo, la afección se denomina "amenaza de aborto". (Esto se refiere a un evento que ocurre de manera natural y no a abortos médicos o quirúrgicos.)
El aborto espontáneo ocurre en aproximadamente la mitad de los embarazos con sangrado en el primer trimestre.
