Enfermedad fibroquÃstica de las mamas

SÃntomas:
- Consistencia desigual, irregular y densa del tejido mamario
- Usualmente más marcada en los cuadrantes externos
- Incomodidad persistente o intermitente en las mamas
- Sensación de congestión mamaria
- Dolor sordo, intenso y sensibilidad
- Sensibilidad y edema premenstrual
- Incomodidad que aumenta después de cada perÃodo menstrual
- Sensación de cambios en el pezón, prurito
Nota: los sÃntomas pueden fluctuar de leve a severo, se acentúan justo antes de cada perÃodo menstrual y desaparecen inmediatamente después del mismo.
Signos y exámenes:
Un examen fÃsico revela la presencia de masas mamarias móviles (no adheridas), generalmente redondas con bordes suaves y pueden ser elásticas o un poco fluctuantes (que cambian de forma). La densidad del tejido mamario podrÃa dificultar más la interpretación del examen.
- MamografÃa puede ser difÃcil de interpretar debido a la densidad del tejido
- Biopsia de mama podrÃa ser necesaria para descartar otro tipo de enfermedades
- Aspiración de mama con una aguja fina: es usualmente diagnóstica y terapéutica en caso de presentarse quistes mayores
