Tratamiento:

El trastorno de personalidad antisocial es uno de los trastornos de la personalidad más difíciles de tratar. Las personas con esta afección rara vez buscan tratamiento por su cuenta y pueden iniciar una terapia únicamente cuando los obliga una corte.

Se desconoce la eficacia del tratamiento del trastorno de personalidad antisocial. Los tratamientos que le muestran a la persona las consecuencias negativas del comportamiento ilegal parecen ser los más prometedores.

Expectativas (pronóstico):

Los síntomas tienden a alcanzar su punto máximo durante los últimos años de la adolescencia y comienzos de los 20. Algunas veces mejoran por sí solos cuando la persona llega a los 40 años.

Complicaciones:

Entre las complicaciones se pueden mencionar encarcelamiento, drogadicción, violencia y suicidio.
