Prevención:

La mejor manera de prevenir las recaídas es continuar tomando los medicamentos recetados. Puesto que los efectos secundarios son una de las razones principales por las que las personas con esquizofrenia dejan de tomar los medicamentos, es muy importante encontrar los medicamentos que controlen los síntomas sin producir dichos efectos. Es necesario hablar siempre con el médico para discutir cualquier tipo de ajuste en los medicamentos o si el paciente desea suspenderlos.
