Definición:

Es una condición caracterizada por una sensación exagerada de importancia y preocupación extrema de una persona por sí misma.

Se desconoce la causa. Los trastornos de personalidad son patrones de comportamiento duraderos que ocasionan problemas en las relaciones interpersonales y el trabajo. El trastorno de personalidad narcisista generalmente comienza a principios de la edad adulta y está marcado por el descuido de los sentimientos de los demás, la afectación, el interés obsesivo en sí mismo y la persecución de metas principalmente egoístas.
