Síntomas:

Parche rojo brillante de erupción que se vuelve más grande (el parche está compuesto de pequeñas pápulas y vesículas con pus)
Parches rojos más pequeños (lesiones satélite) que crecen y se mezclan con otros parches
El bebé se rasca cuando le quitan el pañal
El escroto puede tornarse de color rojo vivo y escamoso (en los niños)
El bebé también puede presentar candidosis oral

Signos y exámenes:

La dermatitis del pañal por cándida se puede diagnosticar con sólo un examen físico, dado que la erupción tiene una apariencia única. El examen KOH puede confirmar un diagnóstico de presencia de cándida
