Síntomas:

Fiebre
Dolor de cabeza
Pérdida del apetito
Erupción con ampollas pequeñas en las manos, los pies y en el área donde se coloca el pañal, las cuales puede ser sensibles o dolorosas si se presionan
Dolor de garganta
Úlceras en la garganta (incluyendo las amígdalas), boca y lengua

Signos y exámenes:

Los antecedentes de enfermedad reciente y un examen físico que comprueba la presencia de las ampollas características en las manos y en los pies generalmente son suficientes para diagnosticar esta enfermedad.
