Tratamiento:

Generalmente, no es necesario ningún tratamiento y los niños afectados superan este comportamiento con el tiempo. Si se encuentra deficiencia de hierro, se debe iniciar un terapia de reemplazo de este elemento.

Expectativas (pronóstico):

Esta condición normalmente desaparece sin necesidad de tratamiento antes de que el niño cumpla los 2 años.

Complicaciones:

La retención de la respiración puede confundirse con las convulsiones y viceversa, así que es importante asegurarse de que el médico le realice una evaluación al niño .
