Convulsión inducida por fiebre
Debido a que las convulsiones febriles pueden ser el primer signo de una enfermedad, su prevención a menudo no es posible. Una convulsión febril no indica que el niño no esté recibiendo los cuidados apropiados.
Ocasionalmente, un médico prescribirá diazepam para prevenir o tratar las convulsiones febriles que ocurren más de una vez. Sin embargo, ningún medicamento es completamente efectivo en la prevención de este tipo de convulsiones.
