Quinsy; Absceso de las amígdalas
Si la infección se detecta temprano, a usted le darán antibióticos. Muy probablemente, si se forma un absceso, será necesario drenarlo con una aguja o haciéndole un corte para abrirlo.
Algunas veces, se puede drenar el absceso y extirpar las amígdalas al mismo tiempo. Se recetarán analgésicos.
El absceso periamigdalino generalmente desaparece sin tratamiento, aunque la infección puede reaparecer en el futuro.
Consulte con el médico si ha tenido amigdalitis y presenta síntomas de absceso periamigdalino.
