Dificultad para ver los detalles pequeños tanto de cerca como de lejos.

Signos y exámenes:

El astigmatismo se diagnostica fácilmente por medio de examen oftalmológico estándar con una prueba de refracción y generalmente no se requieren exámenes especiales. A los niños u otras personas que no puedan responder a preguntas, se les puede medir el grado de su problema de visión por medio de una prueba que utiliza luz reflejada (oftalmoscopia).
