Melanoma del ojo

SÃntomas:
- Enrojecimiento y dolor en el ojo
- Defecto pequeño en el iris o conjuntiva
- El color del iris puede cambiar
- Visión deficiente en un ojo
- Ojos saltones
En algunos casos, es posible que no se presenten sÃntomas.
Signos y exámenes:
Examen oftalmológico con un oftalmoscopio revela una tumoración oval o redonda simple en el ojo.
Los exámenes pueden ser entre otros:
- Examen de ultrasonido del ojo
- TC craneal para buscar diseminación (metástasis) al cerebro
- IRM de la cabeza para buscar metástasis al cerebro
- Biopsia de piel en caso de presentarse un área cutánea afectada
