Prevención:
El trauma en los ojos se puede prevenir con anteojos protectores. Las personas diabéticas deben controlar cuidadosamente los niveles de azúcar en la sangre y se recomienda visitar al oftalmólogo al menos una vez al año, en especial si hay factores de riesgo para que se presente un desprendimiento de retina.
