Síntomas:

  • La hipoacusia puede ocurrir de manera lenta al principio, pero continúa empeorando
  • Usted puede oír mejor en ambientes ruidosos que en lugares silenciosos
  • También se puede presentar zumbido en los oídos (tinnitus)

Signos y exámenes:

Una prueba de audición (audiometría /audiología) puede determinar la magnitud de la hipoacusia.

Se puede utilizar un examen imagenológico especial de la cabeza llamado tomografía computarizada del hueso temporal para descartar otras causas de hipoacusia.
