El mejor tratamiento conocido para el rinofima es la cirugía para moldear de nuevo la nariz. La cirugía se puede hacer con láser, escalpelo o un cepillo rotatorio (dermoabrasión). Asimismo, ha habido informes de buenos resultados con el uso de ciertos medicamentos para el acné.
El rinofima se puede corregir con cirugía, pero la afección puede reaparecer.
El cambio en la apariencia puede causar un sufrimiento emocional.
