Boca de trinchera - Symptom

Estomatitis de Vincent; Gingivitis ulceronecrosante aguda

Síntomas:

  • Mal aliento
  • Úlceras similares a cráteres entre los dientes
  • Fiebre
  • Sabor desagradable en la boca
  • Encías que aparecen enrojecidas e inflamadas
  • Película grisácea sobre las encías
  • Dolor en las encías
  • Sangrado profuso de las encías en respuesta a cualquier presión o irritación

Nota: los síntomas tienden a comenzar de forma repentina.

Signos y exámenes:

El médico examinará la boca para buscar signos de boca de trinchera como:

  • Úlceras similares a cráteres llenas de placa y restos de alimentos
  • Destrucción del tejido gingival alrededor de los dientes
  • Encías inflamadas

Puede haber una película grisácea causada por tejido gingival descompuesto y, en ocasiones, se puede presentar fiebre e inflamación de los ganglios linfáticos de la cabeza y el cuello.

Se pueden tomar radiografías dentales o faciales para determinar la gravedad de la infección y la cantidad de tejido que ha sido destruida.

Esta enfermedad también se puede analizar por medio un cultivo de muestra faríngea.
