Caries dentales - Symptom

Síntomas:

Puede no haber síntomas, pero si se presentan, pueden abarcar:

  • Dolor de muela o sensación dolorosa en los dientes, sobre todo después de consumir bebidas o alimentos dulces, fríos o calientes
  • Hoyuelos o agujeros visibles en los dientes

Signos y exámenes:

La mayoría de las caries son descubiertas en sus fases preliminares durante los controles de rutina. La superficie dental puede estar suave al hurgarla con un instrumento puntiagudo. El dolor puede no presentarse hasta las etapas avanzadas de la caries dental. Las radiografías dentales pueden mostrar algunas caries antes de que sean visibles para el ojo.
