Los antibióticos preventivos suelen ser administrados a las personas con predisposición a las afecciones cardÃacas, antes de procedimientos dentales o de cirugÃas que comprometan las vÃas respiratorias , urinarias o intestinales. Se recomiendan chequeos médicos continuos para aquellas personas con antecedentes de endocarditis.
