Fisura anal - Treatment

Tratamiento:

La mayoría de las fisuras sanan espontáneamente y no requieren tratamiento, aparte de la buena higiene de los pañales en los bebés.

Sin embargo, algunas fisuras pueden requerir tratamiento. Los siguientes métodos de cuidados personales generalmente curan las fisuras anales.

  • Limpieza más suave
  • Cambios en la dieta (consumir más fibra, sustancias que absorban agua mientras se encuentran en el tubo digestivo)
  • Relajantes musculares tópicos
  • Crema anestésica si el dolor interfiere con la evacuación normal
  • Vaselina aplicada en el área
  • Baños de asiento
  • Ablandadores de las heces

Si las fisuras anales no desaparecen con métodos de cuidados personales, el tratamiento puede involucrar:

  • Inyecciones de Botox intramusculares en el ano (esfínter anal)
  • Cirugía menor para relajar el músculo anal

Expectativas (pronóstico):

Las fisuras anales generalmente sanan en forma rápida sin mayores problemas. Sin embargo, es más probable que las personas que desarrollan fisuras las vuelvan a presentar en el futuro.

Complicaciones:

En ocasiones, una fisura se vuelve crónica y no sana, en cuyo caso se requiere una cirugía menor para relajar el esfínter.
