Enfermedad biliar (enfermedad de la vesícula biliar)
La colecistopatía abarca inflamación, infección, cálculos o bloqueo (obstrucción) de la vesícula biliar.
La vesícula es una bolsa localizada debajo del hígado que almacena y concentra la bilis que se produce en dicho órgano. La bilis ayuda en la digestión de las grasas y es liberada por la vesícula biliar dentro de la parte superior del intestino delgado (duodeno), en respuesta al alimento, especialmente grasas.
