Prevención:

La mayoría de los casos no se pueden prevenir.

Revise la curva de crecimiento con el médico después de cada consulta. Igualmente, se aconseja una evaluación por parte de un especialista, si la tasa de crecimiento del niño está disminuyendo o si la estatura proyectada del niño como adulto es mucho más baja que la estatura promedio de ambos padres.
