Síntomas:

El principal síntoma es la inflamación de la glándula tiroides, en un tamaño que puede ir desde un solo nódulo pequeño hasta una tumoración grande en el cuello.

La tiroides inflamada puede ejercer presión sobre la tráquea y el esófago, lo cual puede llevar a:

Puede haber hinchazón de las venas del cuello y mareos cuando se levantan los brazos por encima de la cabeza.

Pruebas y exámenes:

El médico palpará el cuello a medida que uno traga y podrá sentir la hinchazón en el área.
