Tratamiento:

El tejido testicular anormalmente localizado puede no extirparse hasta que un niño complete la pubertad y termine de crecer. En este momento, se pueden extirpar los testículos debido a que pueden desarrollar cáncer como cualquier testículo que no haya descendido.

La terapia de reemplazo con estrógenos se prescribe después de la pubertad.

El tratamiento y asignación de género puede ser un asunto muy complejo, por lo tanto se deben abordar de forma individualizada con mucho cuidado.

Expectativas (pronóstico):

El pronóstico para el síndrome de insensibilidad a los andrógenos completo es bueno si se extirpa el tejido testicular en riesgo en el momento apropiado. El pronóstico para el síndrome incompleto depende de la presencia y gravedad de los genitales ambiguos.

Complicaciones:

Las complicaciones abarcan cáncer testicular, infertilidad y asuntos psicosociales complejos.
