Adenoma paratiroideo - Symptom

Síntomas:

Muchas personas son asintomáticas y la afección a menudo se descubre por accidente cuando se realizan exámenes de sangre por otra razón médica.

Algunos de los síntomas que se pueden presentar son los siguientes:

Signos y exámenes:

Se hacen exámenes de sangre para verificar los niveles de la hormona paratiroidea, el calcio, el fósforo, el cloruro y el bicarbonato.

Un examen de orina en 24 horas se hace para verificar el incremento del calcio en la orina.

Otros exámenes abarcan:

  • Examen de densidad ósea
  • Radiografías de los riñones (pueden mostrar cálculos renales)
  • Resonancia magnética o gammagrafía del cuello con sestamibi (pueden mostrar inflamación de las glándulas paratiroides)
  • Ecografía del cuello
  • Ecografía o tomografía computarizada de los riñones (puede mostrar cálculos renales)
