Infertilidad - Symptom

Incapacidad para concebir; Incapacidad para quedar embarazada (esterilidad)

Síntomas:

El síntoma principal de la infertilidad es la incapacidad para quedar embarazada. Los síntomas específicos dependen de lo que la esté causando.

La infertilidad puede provocar muchas emociones dolorosas en uno o ambos miembros de la pareja.

Pruebas y exámenes:

El momento para buscar el tratamiento para la infertilidad depende de su edad. Se recomienda que las mujeres menores 30 años generalmente intenten quedar embarazadas por sí solas durante un año antes de hacerse exámenes.

Las pruebas para determinar la infertilidad incluyen una historia clínica y un examen físico completos de ambos compañeros.

Se harán exámenes de sangre e imagenológicos. En las mujeres, esto puede abarcar:

  • Exámenes de sangre para verificar el nivel de hormonas, entre ellas, progesterona y foliculoestimulante.
  • Medición de la temperatura a primera hora de la mañana para verificar si hay ovulación .
  • Hormona foliculoestimulante y prueba de provocación con Clomid.
  • Histerosalpingografía (HSG).
  • Ecografía de la pelvis.
  • Laparoscopia.
  • Examen de hormona luteinizante en orina (predicción de la ovulación).
  • Pruebas de la función tiroidea.
