Dismenorrea en la adolescente

Síntomas:

• Dolor abdominal bajo, tipo cólico, que se presenta antes del comienzo del período menstrual y dura de uno a dos días durante el período.
• Náuseas
• Vómitos
• Diarrea
• Estreñimiento
• Dolor de espalda

Signos y exámenes:

El médico llevará a cabo un examen físico y hará preguntas acerca de la historia clínica del paciente para determinar si los períodos menstruales dolorosos se deben o no a una afección.

Las mujeres más jóvenes que todavía no son sexualmente activas pueden requerir un examen pélvico que se realiza a través del recto y no a través de la vagina.
