Enfermedad vascular del colágeno - Overview

Definición:

La enfermedad vascular del colágeno ocurre cuando los problemas con el sistema inmunitario afectan el colágeno.

El colágeno es una proteína dura, parecida a la fibra, que representa el 30% de la proteína corporal y contribuye a la estructura de tendones, huesos y tejidos conectivos.

En una clase de enfermedades conocidas como trastornos autoinmunitarios, el sistema inmunitario del cuerpo ataca sus propios tejidos. Algunas de estas enfermedades tienen similitudes, incluyendo la artritis y la inflamación de las arterias en los tejidos que conectan articulaciones y otros tejidos. Estas enfermedades se conocen como enfermedades vasculares del colágeno.
