Papiloma intraductal - Tratamiento

Tratamiento:

Se extirpa quirúrgicamente el conducto comprometido y se examinan las células en búsqueda de cáncer (biopsia).

Grupos de apoyo:

Es posible que en el área de residencia existan grupos de apoyo disponibles para mujeres con enfermedad mamaria. Se le puede solicitar una recomendación al médico o a otro profesional de la salud.

Expectativas (pronóstico):

El pronóstico es excelente para las personas con un tumor. Las personas con muchos tumores, o que los desarrollaron a temprana edad, pueden estar en mayor riesgo de padecer cáncer, en particular si presentan antecedentes familiares de esta enfermedad o si hay células anormales en la biopsia.

Complicaciones:

Las complicaciones de la cirugía pueden abarcar sangrado, infección y el riesgo de la anestesia utilizada. Si la biopsia muestra cáncer, es probable que se requiera una cirugía posterior.

Situaciones que requieren asistencia médica:

La persona debe consultar con el médico si observa cualquier secreción o tumor en las mamas.
