Acrodisostosis

Definición:

Es un trastorno congénito (presente al nacer) extremadamente raro, marcado por problemas en los huesos de las manos, los pies y la nariz, al igual que retardo mental.

Causas, incidencia y factores de riesgo:

La mayoría de los pacientes con acrodisostosis no tiene antecedentes familiares de la enfermedad, pero algunas veces el trastorno se transmite de padre a hijo como un rasgo autosómico dominante. Esto significa que los padres que padecen el trastorno tienen una posibilidad entre dos de transmitirle el trastorno a sus hijos.
