Prevención:

La circuncisión puede disminuir el riesgo. A los hombres incircuncisos se les debe enseñar desde muy temprana edad la importancia de la limpieza del área que se encuentra por debajo del prepucio, como parte de su higiene personal.

Una buena higiene personal y las prácticas de relaciones sexuales con precaución, como la abstinencia, la limitación de las parejas sexuales y el uso de condones para prevenir la infección por el VPH, pueden disminuir el riesgo de desarrollo de este tipo de cáncer.
