Masas escrotales
Nombres alternativos:
Hematocele; Espermatocele
SÃntomas:
- Protuberancia o abultamiento doloroso o indoloro dentro del escroto ( tumor testicular )
- Infertilidad
- Agrandamiento del escroto
Signos y exámenes:
Durante un examen fÃsico, el médico puede sentir una masa dentro del escroto y notar sus caracterÃsticas:
- Sensible o insensible
- Uniforme, lisa, retorcida o irregular
- Fluctuante (se siente lÃquida), firme o sólida
- TÃpicamente en un solo lado
Los ganglios linfáticos inguinales en el lado afectado pueden o no estar inflamados o sensibles.
Se pueden llevar a cabo los siguientes exámenes para ayudar a diagnosticar una masa escrotal:
- EcografÃa del escroto
- Biopsia de las masas que han sido extraÃdas quirúrgicamente
Se recomienda que todos los hombres se practiquen el autoexamen testicular con una periodicidad mensual regular para descubrir cualquier masa o tumor lo más temprano posible.
