La Fuerza de Tarea de Servicios Preventivos de los Estados Unidos (U.S. Preventive Services Task Force) desaconseja las pruebas de detección rutinarias para cáncer testicular, debido a que no hay una técnica de detección efectiva conocida. Esta recomendación no se aplica si hay un antecedente personal de criptorquidia.
