Herpes simple
SÃntomas:
- Úlceras bucales
- Lesiones genitales : primero puede haber sensación de ardor u hormigueo
- Ampollas o úlceras, más frecuentes en la boca, los labios, las encÃas o los genitales
- Herpes febril
- Fiebre, especialmente durante el primer episodio
- Inflamación de los ganglios linfáticos en el cuello o en la ingle
Signos y exámenes:
Muchas veces, los médicos pueden deducir si la persona tiene una infección por herpes simple con solo mirar las lesiones; sin embargo, se pueden ordenar algunos exámenes para confirmar el diagnóstico. Estos exámenes abarcan:
- Examen de sangre
- Cultivo viral de la lesión
- Examen de anticuerpos fluorescentes directos (DFA, por sus siglas en inglés).
