Definición:

Es un término general para referirse a la infección o la inflamación del oído.

Causas, incidencia y factores de riesgo:

La otitis puede afectar las partes internas o externas del oído y se clasifica de acuerdo a si se presenta súbitamente o durante un período corto (aguda) o en forma repetitiva durante un período de tiempo largo (crónica).
