Tratamiento:

El tratamiento primordial para la fiebre Q es una terapia con antibióticos. Se recomienda la doxiciclina para tratar la fiebre Q aguda en su estado inicial y para la fiebre Q crónica, con frecuencia se utiliza una combinación de doxiciclina e hidroxicloroquina.

Expectativas (pronóstico):

El pronóstico del tratamiento de la fiebre Q si se realiza en las primeras etapas es generalmente bueno. La fiebre Q crónica requiere un tratamiento prolongado con antibióticos, al igual que un seguimiento frecuente para cuando se presenten recaídas.

Endocarditis
Hepatitis prolongada y problemas hepáticos
Encefalitis
