Clamidia - Síntomas

Síntomas:

Uno de cada cuatro hombres con clamidia no presenta síntomas. En los hombres, la clamidia puede producir síntomas similares a la gonorrea. Los síntomas pueden abarcar:

  • Sensación de ardor al orinar
  • Secreción del pene o del recto
  • Dolor o sensibilidad testicular
  • Dolor o secreción rectal

Solo cerca del 30% de las mujeres con clamidia presentan síntomas. Dichos síntomas abarcan:

Signos y exámenes:

El diagnóstico de la infección por clamidia incluye muestras de secreción uretral en hombres o secreciones cervicales en mujeres. En caso de que una persona tenga relaciones sexuales anales, pueden también requerirse muestras del recto. La muestra se envía para que le realicen una prueba de anticuerpos fluorescentes o monoclonales, una sonda de ADN o un cultivo celular. Algunas de estas pruebas también se pueden realizar en muestras de orina.
