Celulitis estreptocócica perianal - Overview

Definición:

Es una inflamación del ano y el recto ocasionada por las bacterias estreptococos.

Causas:

La celulitis estreptocócica perianal ocurre generalmente en niños, a menudo con o después de una "amigdalitis estreptocócica" (faringitis estreptocócica), nasofaringitis o infección cutánea estreptocócica (impétigo).

Los niños se pueden infectar la piel alrededor del ano mientras se limpian el área después de usar el inodoro o al rascarse con las manos contaminadas por secreciones provenientes de la boca o de la nariz.
