Miringitis infecciosa - All Information

Miringitis ampollar

Definición:

Es una infección que ocasiona ampollas dolorosas en el tímpano.

Causas:

La miringitis infecciosa es causada por los mismos virus o bacterias que ocasionan las infecciones del oído medio. Con frecuencia, se encuentra junto con el resfriado común u otras infecciones similares.

La afección es más común en niños, pero se puede observar en adultos.

Síntomas:

El síntoma principal es un dolor que dura de 24 a 48 horas. Otros síntomas abarcan secreción de un oído e hipoacusia en el oído que duele. En raras ocasiones, la hipoacusia continuará después de que la infección haya desaparecido.

Tratamiento:

La miringitis infecciosa generalmente se trata con antibióticos, ya sea administrados como gotas en el oído o por vía oral. Si el dolor es intenso, se puede hacer un corte en las ampollas con un bisturí y se pueden prescribir analgésicos.
