Fiebre del dengue

Tratamiento:
No existe un tratamiento especÃfico para la fiebre del dengue. Es necesario administrar lÃquidos si hay signos de deshidratación . El acetaminofén (Tylenol) se utiliza para tratar la fiebre alta y se debe evitar el uso de aspirina.
Expectativas (pronóstico):
Se espera una total recuperación.
Complicaciones:
- Convulsiones febriles
- Deshidratación severa
Situaciones que requieren asistencia médica:
Se debe consultar con el médico si la persona ha viajado por un área donde se sabe que se presenta la fiebre del dengue y si ha desarrollado alguno de los sÃntomas de esta enfermedad.
