Fiebre de O´nyon-nyong; Fiebre quebrantahuesos; Enfermedad similar al dengue
No existe un tratamiento específico para la fiebre del dengue. Usted necesitará líquidos si hay signos de deshidratación. El paracetamol (Tylenol) se utiliza para tratar la fiebre alta. Evite tomar ácido acetilsalicílico (aspirin).
La afección generalmente dura una semana o más y, aunque es molesta, la fiebre del dengue no es mortal. Las personas con esta afección se deben recuperar por completo.
Consulte con el médico si ha viajado por un área donde se sabe que se presenta la fiebre del dengue y si ha desarrollado síntomas de la enfermedad.
