Leptospirosis - Tratamiento

Tratamiento:

Se pueden administrar penicilinas, tetraciclinas, cloramfenicol y eritromicina para tratar esta enfermedad. En los casos complicados es necesario brindar cuidado de apoyo.

Expectativas (pronóstico):

El pronóstico generalmente es bueno, aunque se puede presentar la muerte si un caso complicado no se trata oportunamente.

Complicaciones:

  • Reacción Jarisch-Herxheimer cuando se administra penicilina
  • Meningitis
  • Sangrado severo
