Prevención:

No es posible prevenir todas las formas de enfermedad hepática, pero la hepatitis alcohólica y la viral sí son potencialmente prevenibles. El riesgo de adquirir cualquiera de estos dos tipo de hepatitis se puede disminuir significativamente abandonando el consumo de bebidas alcohólicas o bebiéndolas con moderación, al igual que evitando los comportamientos de riesgo, como el uso de drogas intravenosas y las relaciones sexuales sin protección.
