Definición:

Es una neoplasia cutánea no cancerosa (benigna) compuesta de vasos sanguíneos.

Causas, incidencia y factores de riesgo:

Los hemangiomas capilares son neoplasias cutáneas bastante comunes que varían en tamaño. Se pueden presentar casi en cualquier parte del cuerpo, pero generalmente aparecen en el tronco.

Estos hemangiomas son más comunes después de los 30 años. Su causa se desconoce, pero tienden a ser hereditarios (genéticos).
