Hemangioma capilar - Treatment

Tratamiento:

Los hemangiomas capilares generalmente no necesitan tratamiento. Cuando son antiestéticos o sangran con frecuencia, se pueden extirpar por medio de:

  • Quemado (electrocirugía/cauterización).
  • Congelamiento (crioterapia).
  • Láser.
  • Escisión por rasurado.

Expectativas (pronóstico):

Los hemangiomas capilares generalmente son inofensivos y no son cancerosos. Su extirpación por lo general no produce cicatrización.

Complicaciones:

  • Sangrado si se lesionan
  • Cambios en la apariencia
  • Sufrimiento psicológico

Situaciones que requieren asistencia médica:

Solicite una cita con el médico si:

  • Tiene síntomas que indiquen la presencia de un hemangioma capilar y desea hacérselo extirpar.
  • La apariencia de un hemangioma de este tipo o de cualquier lesión cutánea cambia.
