Infección necrosante de tejidos blandos

Síntomas:

· Puede tener apariencia enrojecida, bronceada, amoratada o púrpura (purpúrica)

· Evoluciona hacia un color oscuro o negruzco

Signos y exámenes:

El aspecto de la piel y los tejidos subyacentes y la presencia de gangrena (tejido negro o muerto) indican una infección necrosante de tejidos blandos. En ocasiones, los estudios de imagen, como la TC, son de utilidad.

Con frecuencia, el diagnóstico lo hará el cirujano en el quirófano. La tinción de Gram y el cultivo de la supuración o de tejido del área puede mostrar qué bacteria está causando la infección.
