Xantoma - Treatment

Tratamiento:

Si usted tiene una enfermedad que provoque incremento de los lípidos en la sangre, tratar dicha afección puede ayudar a reducir el desarrollo de xantomas.

El médico puede extirpar la tumoración si esto se vuelve molesto para usted, sin embargo, los xantomas pueden reaparecer después de la cirugía.

Pronóstico:

La tumoración no es cancerosa y es indolora, pero puede ser signo de otra afección médica.

Posibles complicaciones:

La tumoración puede causar un cambio en su apariencia, lo cual se denomina deformación estética.
