Prevención:

Las parejas con antecedentes familiares de este síndrome podrían pensar en buscar asesoría genética antes de quedar en embarazo.

El hecho de evitar el sol y el uso de filtros solares son necesarios para ayudar a prevenir los cánceres de piel de células basales nuevos.

Asimismo, se debe evitar la radiación ionizante. Las personas que padecen esta afección son muy sensibles a la radiación y la exposición puede llevar a cánceres de piel.
