Foliculitis de la tina - Overview

Definición:

La foliculitis de la tina es una infección de los folículos pilosos que ocurre cuando uno entra en contacto con ciertas bacterias que viven en áreas cálidas y húmedas.

Causas, incidencia y factores de riesgo:

La foliculitis de la tina es causada por la Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Esta forma de bacteria sobrevive en las tinas de agua caliente, especialmente las hechas de madera, a menos que se realice un control estricto de los niveles de ácido y cloro en el agua.
