Tratamiento:

Con frecuencia se utilizan lociones humectantes para suavizar la piel y para darle una apariencia mejor. El médico puede recomendar la aplicación de cremas que contengan urea, ácido láctico, Retin A (tretinoína) o vitamina D. Sin embargo, el mejoramiento a menudo toma meses y se espera la recurrencia después de la suspensión de la terapia.

Expectativas (pronóstico):

La queratosis pilar puede desvanecerse lentamente con el paso de los años.
