Definición:

Es una pequeña protuberancia rojiza en la piel que sangra con facilidad debido a un número anormalmente alto de vasos sanguíneos.

Causas, incidencia y factores de riesgo:

La causa exacta de los granulomas piógenos se desconoce, pero éstos aparecen frecuentemente después de una lesión. Normalmente se presentan en las manos, los brazos o la cara.

Los granulomas piógenos son comunes en los niños.
