Granuloma piógeno
Definición:
Es una pequeña protuberancia rojiza que aparece en la piel y sangra con facilidad debido a una concentración anormalmente alta de vasos sanguÃneos. Estas lesiones a menudo aparecen en el sitio de un trauma previo.

Causas, incidencia y factores de riesgo:
La causa exacta del granuloma piógeno es desconocida, pero éstos aparecen frecuentemente después de una lesión y con frecuencia ocurren en las manos, los brazos o la cara.
Debido a que estas lesiones sangran muy fácilmente, pueden ser muy molestas. Estos granulomas son comunes en los niños.
