Tratamiento:

El tratamiento consiste en medicamentos antimicóticos aplicados a la piel, como clotrimazol, ketoconazol y miconazol.

Los champúes anticaspa de venta libre, aplicados a la piel durante diez minutos cada día en el baño, también pueden ayudar a tratar estas lesiones.

Expectativas (pronóstico):

Aunque la tiña versicolor se trata fácilmente, los cambios de pigmentación pueden durar meses después del tratamiento y la afección puede reaparecer durante los meses cálidos.
